Substance Abuse Treatment program

NUEVO AMANECER (NEW DAWN) is  BIENESTAR’s out-patient substance abuse treatment program, for  Latino gay,  bisexual and men who have had sex with other men and  are from the ages of 18-29.

The goal of the program is to deliver a community based substance  abuse treatment for Latinos to understand the negative impact that alcohol and drugs has in their lives.

NUEVO AMANECER (NEW DAWN) is special because it offers bilingual individual and group counseling by professional and peer counselors who are part of the community. This program is for people whose alcohol or drug use has affected their:

• Physical and mental health

• Finances

• Family

• Employment

• School

 Services  are provided at  no cost to participants with  no restrictions where they live.

PROGRAM INCLUDES

• Developing a personalized treatment  plan

• Scheduled individual, group, or family   counseling sessions

• Provide alcohol and drug education

• Drug testing will be conducted once a   week

• HIV testing
