Housing Assistance is available for people living with HIV/AIDS. Housing Opportunities for People living With AIDS (HOPWA) is a short-term intervention to help maintain a stable living environment and to improve access to health care or other support. This assistance provides housing opportunities through two main programs: Permanent Housing Placement Grant and Short Term Rent Mortgage and Utilities. These programs assist clients who are not able to pay their rent and/or utilities when they are not able to work due to health complications of HIV/AIDS.
BIENESTAR also assists clients living with HIV/AIDS who are homeless by making comprehensive and appropriate referrals to Emergency and Transitional Housing Programs
