Housing Assistance
Housing Assistance is available for people living with HIV/AIDS. Housing Opportunities for People living With AIDS (HOPWA) is a short term intervention to help maintain a stable living environment and to improve access to health care or other support. This assistance provides housing opportunities through two main programs Permanent Housing Placement Grant and Short Term Rent Mortgage and Utilities. These programs assist clients when are not able to pay their rent and/or utilities when they are not able to work due to health complications of HIV/AIDS.
BIENESTAR also assists clients living with HIV/AIDS who are homeless by making comprehensive and appropriate referrals to Emergency and Transitional Housing Programs.
