For the last 21 years, BIENESTAR has worked in many fields, including advocacy of equal rights. Proyecto Orgullo (Project Pride) is community-based education project of BIENESTAR that mobilizes individuals to take an active role in addressing Social Justice and Civil Rights issues in the Latino Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Community.

Such issues include being able to serve in the military, marriage equality, immigration reform and sponsoring of same-sex couples, adoption, and safe schools. Proyecto Orgullo envisions an empowered network of Agents of Change, that through leadership and skills-building trainings, that will work together to promote Pride, Freedom, and Justice for ALL!
