Throughout its 21 years of history, BIENESTAR has advocated for health policies that fight HIV and social justice including LGBT Civil rights in the Latino community, locally, nationally, and internationally. BIENESTAR is routinely sought out by the California Latino Legislative Caucus, Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and Spanish language press for its unique insight on HIV’s impact among Latinos and on LGBT issues.

BIENESTAR’s annual state and federal legislative briefings help to ensure lawmakers and other stakeholders are aware of pressing issues impacting Latino health and civil right issues.
