Mpowerment

Mpowerment is a Community Level Intervention targeting gay/bisexual Latino youth ages 18 to 24. The goal of this intervention is to reduce new cases of HIV infection among this population.

Join BIENESTAR's SABORES Youth Program. SABORES is an LGBT program of BIENESTAR that focuses on fostering the health and well-being of youth ages 14 to 24. We offer weekly support groups that are held in a substance-free, safe-space and confidential environment. Come meet other youth like you. Our goal is to reduce new... cases of HIV among youth, promote safer sex and to talk about isses that really matter to YOU! Coming out, Dating/Relationships, Homophobia... it's about what WE go through. Our SABORES Team is just like you, we are Latino, we are gay, we are young, and we are PROUD.

Van Nuys meets every Wednesday 7 to 9pm
Pomona meets every Tuesday 7:30 to 9:30pm
Hollywood meets every Thursday 7 to 9pm
South LA meets every Wednesday 5 to 7pm
East LA meets every Monday 7 to 9pm
Long Beach meets every Tuesday 5 to 7pm
San Diego meets every Wednesday 7 to 9pm

Other activities include trips to the beach, we hang out for coffee, we go to the movies, to Six Flags, we go bowling (Bowling Party II coming up Friday May 14th! - call us or email us to reserve a spot), and much more.

Don't forget: SABORES Youth will be marching in the Long Beach Parade next month and in West Hollywood Parade in June.
